Research Group for Conservation Genetics

Plant genetic resource is the important component of biodiversity, and is also the crucial resource for plant breeding. The Research Group for Plant Conservation Genetics is interested in a variety of topics related to genetic conservation, evolution and utilization. We use genetic and genomic approaches to study adaptive evolution of functional traits and gene discovery. The group is also interested in population genetics of subtropical plants, with the aim to understand the genetic mechanism control plant adaptation to their historical and/or future environmental changes.
