Research group of bioorganic chemistry focuses on structural elucidation, biosynthetic regulation and biological functions of secondary metabolites evolved in plant defense and plant-species interactions. Our current research mainly engages in the identification and analyses of potential bioactive compounds evolved in defense of medicinal plants and ecological invasion of exotic invasive species. Further study will include the elucidation of molecular mechanisms controlling the biosynthesis of bioactive compounds in correlated plant species. Besides, to explore the application of these compounds in pharmacy or agriculture will be also part of our efforts.
