Professional Interests:

Dr. Xiankai Lu was trained as an ecologist with an emphasis on ecosystem ecology and global environmental changes. His current research focuses on how forest ecosystems respond to global changes, especially for elevated atmospheric nitrogen deposition and land use. Dr. Lu is particularly interested in biogeochemical cycles of key elements (e.g., C, N, and P), soil buffering capacity, and biodiversity and its adaption under the background of global changes.
